Duke Eiseinstein (エイゼンシュテイン公爵, Eizenshutein Kōshaku) is a supporting character in Shoukoku no Altair and is the imperial adviser of the empire and a war veteran.

Appearance

Eisenstein is a short old man of 115cm and he is never seen without his wheelchair. He has big, grey hair that reminds one of an afro and he has quite big eyes as well. His eyelashes are small and his skin is quite fair, like it is for everyone originating from Balt-Rhein. Eisenstein has quite a large nose and a grey, but moustache underneath. He has prominent cheekbones and sports a uniform to symbolise his position as the imperial adviser. Eisenstein also appears to be quite thin and has many wrinkles, more so in the manga than in the anime. His attire consists of a simple, blue jacket on top of a frilly white blouse, with golden shoulder pads and a red ribbon at the top that functions as a single button to keep it together.

Personality

Eisenstein is an idealist and a pacifist. He is very proud to be a citizen of Balt-Rhein but has acknowledged that it's falling due to the resistance Greater Türkiye is putting up against them. The past was far more glorious in his eyes and he believes that the empire is heading down the wrong path, which seems to cause him a lot of pain. Eisenstein isn't afraid of voicing his opinions and concerns, however he fears what is happening to the people and how they are treated. He is shown to be especially emotional about the deaths of Frentzen, Pineau and Adam when speaking about it to Wichter.
