Goldbalt XI is the emperor of the Balt-Rhein Empire, he is close to his prime minister Virgilio Louis who is one of the antagonist. His part in the history is limited, all the political stuff is done by Louis.

The real name of the emperor is Günther, his reign name of Goldbalt comes from a practice of the imperial family which consists in taking this name, recalling that the imperial family is originally from the region of Gol and conquered the region of Balt.
The emperor has at least two sons, the first also being called Günther and the second being called Gustav.
The previous emperor, the father of Goldbalt XI, chose Eldrhein I as his reign name, in an attempt to gain sympathy from the territories of the Rhein region conquered during his reign.
