Kara Kanat Süleyman is one of the secondary protagonist of the story. He is the bashkan (head) of Turkiye's international spy agency, Goz Kulak. He is the partner of Katerina. Just like Mahmut, he is a Tuğhril clansman.
History[]
Twelve years before the start of the manga, Kara Kanat Süleyman was in the Commune of Florence. He was working as a falconer for a nobleman named Jovani of the Orgini Family. He wandering all over Rumelia. When he was in Mitland, he found out about the demise of the Tuğril Clan. He requested to go back to his village. He saw the destruction and regretted not being with his family.
He return to Florence but stayed in Tukiye. Because of a ruckus he caused when he watched a play about Tuğhril Village's Fall, he met Zehir Zaganos who was still a 14 year old Decurion. Zaganos promised him to fulfill his wish of preventing a war.
Five years from that incident he was asked by Zaganos to be the Goz Kulak Bashkan.
Main Story[]
A New Beggining[]
Süleyman first appeared during this arc. He was at the Peak of the Tuğhril Direk, a rock pillar, and met with Mahmut. He told the tale of his life. A sound made them to take action and return to the village.
They found the the Kulak being attack by a member of the Rod Orm. This was Süleyman's first encounter with them. They fought with a Rod Orm killer who Mahmut blinded during the Hasir revolt.
Mahmut planned to throw a bag of sheep's blood to the enemy but failed. The bag was broken and the blood poured over him. The birds flocked and attacked him. Süleyman saved Mahmut by using a the predator signal to make the birds flee.
He then saved Mahmut again when Mahmut tried to attack the killer. The attack broke Mahmut's weapon and gave him a shock. Süleyman dragged him out of the fight and went to retire.
Süleyman encouraged Mahmut again to fight. He taught him that he must be aware of his teammates. They went back to the battle. They had trouble with fighting against the Red Orm member because of her weapon. With Süleyman's wise observation Mahmuts plan of utilizing the updraft was executed. This broke the enemy's Red Orm sword and forced her to flee.
Süleyman made sure not to let the killer escape. He killed her to prevent more killings of the Kulak. He had to return and report to Zaganos. He suggested that Mahmut should gain more experience and see more of the world. They departed.
